Nurturing the Cultural Bonds - renowned vocalist Pt. Channulal Mishra giving an enchanting performance  

The Institute regularly organizes various cultural and social activities. Functions like Independence Day and Republic Day are celebrated by students, faculty and staff members with patriotic zeal. Sports competitions, Quiz, Antakshari etc. are some of the regular co-curricular and extra- curricular activities of the Institute..

  • Renowned Sarangi Maestro of India Shri Sarwar Hussain, gave an enlightening performance on February 4, 2004 at the Institute premises in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY

  • Grammy Award winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, a renowned Mohan Veena maestro gave an enlightening performance on October 16, 2003. The program was organized by the Institute in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY. He was accompanied by Shri Ram Kumar Mishra on Tabla. 

  • Noted Sitar Player and Indian Musician Dr. Chandrakant Sardeshmukhgave an enlightening performance on August 1, 2003. The program was organized by the Institute in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY. He was accompanied by Shri Ullhas Rajhans on the Tabla.

  • The renowned Vocalist, Channulal Mishra gave an enchanting performance on August 8,2002.He was accompanied by Vinod Chandokar on Harmonium

  • Noted vocalist Meeta Pandit of Gwalior Gharana gave a performance on September 14, 2001. The program was organized by the Institute in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY. She was accompanied by Jayram Potdar on Harmonium and Sukhmoy Banerjee on Tabla.

  • A flute recital by Shri Ronu Majumdar from Maihar Gharana enthralled the students of PIMR. This was third event of the Virasat 2001 series. He was accompanied on Tabla by Shri Abhijit Banerjee.

  • A program by Langas and Manginiars was also held under Virasat 2001. The group sang Bhajans of Sufi Saints and Rajasthani folk like Mehandi to enchant the students.

  • The Institute organized under the Virasat 2001 series a film show about SPIC - MACAY and its activities and a show on the life and achievements of Ustad Bismillah Khan, the well known Shahnai Maestro.

  • A musical rendition was performed by Santoor Maestro, Shri Om Prakash Chaurasia at PIMR, Indore which was organized by the Institute in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY. He was accompanied on tabla by Shri Sanjay Mishra. The program concluded with question and answer session.

  • The Institute organized a Dhrupad recital on July 29, 2000 in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY where internationally renowned artists and vocalists, Shri Umakant, Shri Ramakant and Shri Akhilesh Gundecha performed raag Pradip and raag Charukesi.

  • Team work is emphasized. Students are given group projects and are encouraged to work together. 

  • Computer based simulations are used to facilitate the development of skills.

  • Seminars are organized to chisel the presentation skills of the students, besides exposing them to real life experiences.
