The Institute had the privilege of being the nodal Institute for the Northern Region and had the opportunity to work on a two year project sponsored by AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) and CCMS (Canadian Consortium of Management Schools) funded by CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) titled Empowering Women through Enterprise. Under this project, six workshops were conducted:.

• Training Programs for Potential Women Entrepreneurs on February 21-24, 2000, May 9-12, 2000 and September 6-9, 2000.

• Workshop on Empowering Women through Enterprise for NGOs on August 16-24, 1999.
  Venue : IGNOU, New Delhi

• Workshop on Empowering Women through Enterprise for NGOs on July 22-24, 1999.
  Venue : Fore School of Management, New Delhi

• Workshop on Empowering Women through Enterprise for NGOs on June 28-30, 1999.
  Venue : PIMR, Indore

The resource persons were drawn from the organizations like ICICI, SISI, SIDBI, CEDMAP, NABARD, Rashtriya Mahila Kosh, NIESBUD (National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Business Development), and Jeevan Jyoti.

• Major Research Project on Managerial Creativity sponsored by UGC was undertaken by the Institute in association with Institute of Management Studies, DAVV, Indore.

• Project on Problems of Women Trainers was undertaken by the Institute which was sponsored by Indian Society for Training and Development, New Delhi.

• Project on Knowledge Management Practices in Indian Organizations: An Empirical Investigation is in progress.
