The Institute has been ranked
consistently in the upper edge of top ranking business schools
in the nation-wide surveys carried out by the agencies like
Business Today, Cosmode, Ministry of Human Resource Development,
Business India and Outlook - which has enabled the Institute to
achieve significant position amongst B-schools in the country by
one such survey. The Institute was ranked 4th in Central and
Eastern regions of the country. The achievements of the
Institute in a short span of nine years of its existence have
widely been appreciated.

The Institute is a recognized
research centre of the Devi Ahilya University and Symbiois
International Education Center (Deemed University) for offering
Ph. D. program in management studies.

Most of the courses of study are
supplemented by case studies to inculcate in the students the
ability to analyze the problems and to develop analytical skills
and rational approach to problem solving.

Management games are used to
simulate business environment, develop involvement and
participation and make the learning purposeful and effective.

Teamwork is emphasized. Students
are given group projects and are encouraged to work together,
study together and present themselves as teams to experience the
challenges associated with group dynamics and interpersonal
communication.

Role-playing is another
technique, which is used to involve participants fully and
experience the dynamics of practical management situations.
Computer based models and exercises are used for various
courses, which facilitate in developing capabilities of making
sound judgments and decisions under real life situations.

Project work is undertaken by
students who choose topics of their choice in consultation with
faculty guides. They undertake literature surveys, prepare and
pretest questionnaires and interview schedules, carry out
fieldwork, prepare reports and make presentations before the
faculty from time to time.

Major foreign languages like
French and German are taught to students to help them prepare
for international business.

Seminars are organized from time
to time for students to encourage prospective professionals to
be adept in seeking and acquiring knowledge rather than having
it imparted in the class rooms only.

orientation, the pedagogy is supported by androgogy in an
appropriate proportion.
